General Terms and Conditions Hotel Blanckthys

1. Agreement

Unless otherwise agreed in writing by an authorized person, these general terms and conditions apply to all commitments of Hotel Blanckthys, represented by Hotel Voeren BV.

These terms and conditions are listed on our website. By making a reservation, entering the hotel, or receiving our services, you are deemed to have tacitly accepted these terms and conditions.

2. Payment Terms

Invoices are payable on the invoice date without discount. Individual guests must provide a valid credit card guarantee at the time of booking; failure to do so may result in automatic cancellation of the reservation.

If an invoice is not (fully) paid after 30 days, a compensation fee of 5% is automatically charged. Payments are first settled against any interest and compensation fees.

Non-use of reserved rooms or services can never be invoked as a reason for delayed payment. In the event of payment arrears, the hotel reserves the right to unilaterally terminate any ongoing agreement without compensation to the guest.

3. Description

All descriptions, photos, colors, and dimensions on our website, social media, and external booking platforms are informative and non-binding.

4. Check-in and Check-out

Rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated before 11:00 AM on the day of departure.

In the case of a guaranteed reservation and no-show, the full amount of the reservation, including any additional services, will be charged.

5. Complaints

Any complaints must be reported as soon as possible during the stay so that Hotel Blanckthys can address them immediately. Complaints must be reported in writing within 8 days of departure, under penalty of forfeiture.

6. Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, Hotel Blanckthys reserves the right to accommodate guests in an equivalent hotel in the region without compensation.

7. Damage

Damage caused by guests to rooms, furniture, infrastructure, or properties of third parties with whom Hotel Blanckthys cooperates must be compensated in cash or by card before departure according to the hotel's statement.

Hotel Blanckthys is not liable for damage, theft, or loss of vehicles or property in the parking lot or other areas.

8. Disputes

All disputes are exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the Belgian courts and Belgian law. Deviating payment modalities do not change this.

Hotel Blanckthys reserves the right to refuse or expel guests in case of repeated violations of house rules or disturbance of peace and order, without refund.

9. Group Reservations (from 5 rooms)

Payment

  • 50% deposit within 7 days of confirmation
  • Balance + additional consumption at check-out

Cancellation

  • Up to 60 days before arrival: 50% free of charge
  • 60–30 days: 25% free of charge
  • 29–8 days: 10% free of charge (90% charged)
  • 7 days or less / no-show: 100% charged

 

10. Individual Reservations (1 to 4 rooms)

Payment

Credit card guarantee required. Non-refundable rates are credited immediately.

Cancellation

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival (3:00 PM)
  • Less than 48 hours: 1st night charged
  • No-show: full reservation charged

 

11. Credit Card Guarantee

At check-in, a credit card authorization may be requested for any additional costs. Unpaid costs may be settled via this card after departure, with accurate billing to the guest.

12. Tourist Tax and Accommodation Contribution

Upon arrival at Hotel Blanckthys, please note the following additional costs, which are not included in the room price:

  1. Tourist Tax
    A tourist tax of € 1.00 per person, per night is charged. This tax must be paid upon arrival.
  2. Accommodation Contribution ("Service Charge")
    Additionally, an accommodation contribution of € 3.70 per person, per stay applies. This amount is also collected upon arrival.

By booking a stay at Hotel Blanckthys, you agree to pay the above amounts upon arrival.
