About Hotel Blanckthys
Hotel Blanckthys is a cozy and characterful hotel in the heart of 's-Gravenvoeren.
Located between the Limburg hills and close to the Dutch border, this is the ideal place for a relaxing getaway or an active hiking weekend in nature.
With 28 comfortable rooms, a brasserie with a large terrace, and rooms for parties and meetings, we focus on a warm atmosphere, no-nonsense hospitality, and an honest kitchen.
Blanckthys is part of the growing hotel group ECLECT. Several hotels are already active, including the beautiful Landgoed Altenbroek in Belgium and Hotel KINT in the Netherlands. Expansion within and outside the Netherlands is imminent with, among others, the opening of Kasteel Doenrade and Hotel Vrythof in the near future.
As an independent working chef, you are jointly responsible for the daily culinary operation of the restaurant. You ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly, the quality of the dishes is always high, and that the team is enthusiastically led. You work under the responsibility of the Chef, but in their absence, you take over and ensure that everything continues to run as if they were there.
Your workday
- You prepare dishes according to fixed instructions and work methods. You ensure that taste, presentation, and timing meet—and where possible exceed—expectations;
- You work according to hygiene, safety, and HACCP guidelines and ensure correct compliance within the team;
- You distribute the daily tasks and think ahead in mise-en-place and preparation;
- You coach colleagues on technique, speed, and quality;
- You manage the stock together with the Chef and prevent waste and shortages;
- You replace the Chef in their absence and maintain the continuity and standard of the kitchen.

- You feel responsible for every dish that leaves the kitchen, the taste and presentation are correct;
- You lead and coach the kitchen team, clearly and involved;

- You easily adapt when it suddenly gets busy or goes differently than planned;
- You think creatively, see opportunities, and come up with solutions.

We offer you
You work at varying times and cook for different occasions. You work together with an involved team under the Chef on location. The kitchen teams are centrally supported in the areas of: menu engineering, purchasing, f&b concept, and general hotel performance.
